Delhi MCD Election 2022 Results: On December 4, voters cast ballots in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi election of 2022. On Wednesday, December 7, at 8:00 AM, the 42 centres in Delhi will begin the process of counting the ballots (today). After the merger of Delhi’s three civic organisations into one earlier this year, this would be the first MCD election. The Aam Aadmi Party, lead by Arvind Kejriwal, is anticipated to win the Delhi MCD elections with a commanding majority, according to Zee News’ Exit Poll.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is predicted to win 134-146 of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s (MCD) 250 wards, followed by the BJP with 82-94 and Congress with 8-14. AAP is predicted to receive 46% of the vote, followed by the BJP with 39%, Congress with 11%, and others with 4%.
In the 2017 Delhi Municipal Elections, the BJP won handily. 181 of the 270 seats in Delhi’s three municipal corporations, SDMC, NDMC, and EDMC, were won by the national party in power. AAP finished second in the 2017 municipal elections with 48 seats, while Congress finished third with victories in just 30 wards.
In the important local body elections, almost 1.4 crore eligible voters from 250 wards had a chance to cast their ballots. The vote-counting process will soon start.
